Hoodoo Witch is a modern ‘hands-on” course in hoodoo spiked with witchcraft – teaching the student how to do both popular and traditional hoodoo style spells and rituals. By the end of the year, the student is capable to perform hoodoo spells and rituals to enhance their life!

Each week, you are given a lesson in hoodoo witchcraft. The lesson is easy enough for you to read within an hour, and if you feel inspired, you are encouraged to do the magic we discuss in the weekly lesson. This is a practical course, designed to teach you practical folk magic.

In the first month, we dig in deep, discussing the history and the complexities of studying Hoodoo in a modern world.

To Begin

This information was sent to you and your welcome email but I will update it here as well in case you have lost your welcome email

For right now, you will need:

1. A journal for both your course work and your own personal magic notes/spells. You can choose either

• Electronic BOS – keeping your notes on your computer in perhaps word or onenotes
• Hard copy – a physical book to write in.

2. Learn a Divination method – You should also have a set of tarot cards and/or a pendulum at least.

3. Meditation

• At least 15 minutes x 3 times per week

Everything else you need, feel free to improvise where ever you desire. Hoodoo is about using what is available in your environment. Becoming a true magical practitioner means that you’re understanding the roots, the stones and the Earth below your feet. What you read in a book or here on YouTube is what another person is experiencing in their environment (probably not because they are probably reading what someone else is doing from another person’s environment lol). The way I practice witchcraft is slightly different when I’m in Australia to when I’m in New Orleans. And the skills may be the same but the tools and ingredients will be modified so I’m connecting with my current environment. That is what holds your maximum power.

The Hoodoo Witch Method

Why is my method of teaching different and successful with so many students? Because of the simplicity. I am not teaching traditional rootwork. I am teaching MODERN HOODOO WITCHCRAFT.

Our modern “vibe” of Hoodoo Witchcraft takes some of the flavour of Hoodoo, mixed with South American Santería, fused with Western Witchcraft and an Australian twist.

So you’re learning with us is:

2. Practical – I have cut out the TON of information (background reading)generally given in courses, so you don’t have to spend hours reading before you begin the lesson. We are all time poor. I would rather you have enough information to practice the lesson now, than spend your lesson time reading.
3. Experiential – You are expected to participate in each lesson. Research shows that you will not retain the information if you don’t put into action what you learn.

There is SO much information, including YouTube videos, available to conduct further research on any topic. We all know that too much information leads to “analysis paralysis”! You become an expert armchair hoodoo expert. Not now.

Also know, Hoodoo is FOLK magic that has brought together many cultures and magical systems, traditions and beliefs, to be where it is today.  That is not to say we are not respectful of the roots of the tradition.

Expectations:

1. Time – I suggest you spend at least 1 to 3 hours each week on each lesson. This is this minimum. I understand that you may begin the lesson emailed to you a week after receiving the email. Perhaps you need to collect tools or ingredients. That is perfectly ok. Try – In some lessons, you may not have a personal issue in that area. If that is the case, then think of a friend or relative that does have that issue
2. Get creative – if you don’t have the herb/root/oil etc that I recommend, then you need to research an alternative. This is true witchcraft – using what you have around you, in your local area/country. For example, I sometimes use raspberry for protection when I am here in the USA. However, when I am back in Sydney, I will use Eucalyptus leaves.

Certificate of Completion

After a year of completing all of the weekly lessons, you are welcome to apply for certification. Apply for your certificate of completion, and show everybody that you are a Certified Hoodoo Witch.
