Great question & thank you for sharing your background in northern European folk magic. You're absolutely right, in many Scandinavian, Germanic, and Baltic traditions, spit is seen as a powerful personal taglock & it's equal to blood, hair, or nail clippings because it carries your essence, breath, and intent. In fact, I do this myself often when I am creating various items such as a sour jar... Where after I say the incantation over the jar, I will spit on it as well (eg spit in vinegar to curse or dominate) but also in love spells (spit on a honey jar lid to “sweeten” someone to you). So...Your tradition already empowers breath/spit — this strengthens your intent, not weakens it. Hoodoo was built on adaption, and so all you need to do is ask yourself, does it come from me? Does it feel strong? If yes...it works.

So interesting to see so many saints I have not heard of. My friend herd if them all the saint that caught my eye is St Blaise which is what I am currently going through my life rite now throat issues hyperthyroidism still making Dr appointments. But I think it would be very nice to work with St Blaise knowing he is the healer of the throat.
Saving that lil boy choking on a fish bone
Their will be more in the future to work with.
